Convert items to different lists

Sometimes when you start to set up teamdecoder you have a great idea what you define as roles and what as skills for the team you are building. And sometimes, a few days later, you discover, that it would make much more sense, to make a certain skill rather a role or vice versa. And the same is true for (long-term) circles and (short/mid-term) projects.

The tools are set-up identical (roles = skills / circles = projects), so it is really up to you how to make the best use of them, how to differentiate them for your team, your company.

Well, an example could be that you keep the SKILLS list free for all the hidden talents of your team that have not yet been enough utilized to drive your business. So "dancing" becomes a SKILL, or "rap music" or "ski jumping". And suddenly (and I am making this up ...) you open a dance school and "dancing" should now be a ROLE.

In the circles list very often the team defines a bunch of circles, and only at a later stage some of them are pushed in the projects list, because they is a difference between "departments", that are more found under circles, and "cross-functional special teams".

In the tools for skills, roles, circles and projects you will find "Convert to ..." at the top next to the item's name. Click here and the item will be moved to the other list.
